A bit about my blog name

As you can see, my address is naangniel.blogspot.com

Well, it actually a blend of two words which are jenaang and chenil. What is that? Those which are from Indonesia, especially in Java, maybe know it perfectly. However, for the others outside Indonesia, I’ll try to explain what I have known about those words.

Jenang and chenil is kind of traditional foods in Indonesia, especially Java (or I guess every region has the similar food with different name?). Both of them have sweet favor, and the sweetness is basically come from the gula aren or sugar palm.

Why I choose that name, then? Well, basically I can say that those are me and my fiancée favorite traditional foods. Beyond that, there was a time when those foods become our nick name. Confused? So, I called him ‘naang’ from jenang; and he called me ‘niel’ from chenil. Yeah, it was quite weird, perhaps. But when you are in love, that kind of think can be so much fun and romantic. J
